With recent events in mind, Jerry Seinfeld has added a new concert to his touring schedule, on Dec. 19 at the NYCB Theater in Westbury, N.Y., on Long Island.

He and opening act Colin Quinn, another New York-bred comedian, plan to donate all proceeds from the performance -- and from other, previously planned gigs in Brooklyn (Nov. 8) and Staten Island (Dec. 6) -- to organizations serving victims of Hurricane Sandy.

In a statement, Seinfeld noted that he "grew up on Long Island, and New York City is home. This is a tough time for this area, and we're just glad to be able to help in the recovery."

Tickets for the Long Island show are set to go on sale Nov. 30.
