Chris Rock has a new gun control proposal
Posted January 9, 2013
For FX, Chris Rock is the producer of the network's late-night comedy talk show, Totally Biased, with Kamau Bell. But for most Americans, he's a brilliant comic who has had some interesting things to say about gun control. And with gun control back in the news, he was asked at the Biased news conference about new proposals that the nation should regulate bullets rather than guns, an idea he raised years ago.
That, Rock says, was a joke. And now he has a new one, based on his observation that most mass murderers live with their mothers:
"You should have to have a mortgage to buy a gun. No one who has a mortgage has ever gone on a killing spree … because a mortgage is a real background check. And you know if you go to jail for 30 years, you still have to pay your (expletive) mortgage."
