Short Review:

Atmosphere: Very good! Check out the car parts! (Word to the wise, do not sit by the bathroom.)

Food: So-so. Pre-made hamburgers, A LOT of mayonnaise, veggies okay. French fries were good, but I would not order the Piston Rings for an extra $3.

Service: Pretty good. Waitress was attentive and helpful.

Root Beer: Sweet w/ no high fructose corn syrup. *I* liked it, but if you don't like sweet, don't order this.

Long review:

Oh, Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in, I so wanted to like you! With your antique car parts and mustang hangings all over the place, I knew you were going to be my favorite place.

However, it just wasn't meant to be. My mother and I visited once to try their root beer. Since I have a huge sweet tooth, I absolutely loved it, but my mother was not happy. She said it was too sweet. We also ordered fries. The fries were good.

Round 2:

We visited Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in again with my husband and father (all of those car parts were sure to make their heads turn!). They loved the car parts and my father got nostalgic looking at all the classic car pictures. My husband, who has a mustang, also loved looking at the pictures. We all ordered burgers. They were okay, but nothing to write home about. The patties looked like pre-made Costco type. The buns were crispy (which was a plus), but I am not sure if i would come back for a burger.

The french fries were crispy, but the Piston Rings were overpriced.

Altogether, we left feeling a bit greasy. The service here was good though.

I would come back to try a root beer float.
