Hawaiian plate lunches. I miss them. So, when my friend invited me to Kona Kitchen. I was all over it -- and it didn't disappoint.
I had the chili and ordered of side of rice. Yah, you know I'm from Hawaii *wink*. I felt like I was back at home.
My fiance ordered the teriyaki beef plate lunch. He was expecting the typical Seattle style teriyaki, but this was local style! It came with rice AND macaroni salad. I was in heaven, but I think it was a bit much for my fiance.
Me, however, I blew my diet on this one. I ate both his *and* mine. Hawaiian comfort food? Oh. Yes!
Besides the food, the waitresses were super friendly. They had this wall of shame for dine and dashers which I thought was pretty funny also. A restaurant with a sense of humor? Ah, I so miss HI.
